Obituary of Mother Geraldine B. Sellers

Geraldine Bethea Sellers, known lovingly as Gerri, daughter of the late Ervin and Corrie Dupree Bethea, was born December 30, 1945 in Dillon County, SC. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday December 18, 2021 at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, MD. Gerri attended public schools in Latta, SC, graduating from Latimer High School class of 1963. She attended Voorhees College in Denmark, SC. Gerri was united in holy matrimony to Willie Sellers in 1974 for 29 years, who preceded her in death. To this union, two children were born, with one preceding her in death. Gerri leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Regina Robinson (Patrick) and Monya White (Kevin) of Maryland; stepsons, Willie Sellers, Jr. And Michael Sellers of North Carolina; grandchildren, Kyndall and Darius White; sisters, Corean Moore of Latta, SC and Joyce Graham (Mack) of Jersey City, NJ; brother-in-law, Asbury Sellers (Leola) of North Carolina and sister-in-law Alice Sellers of Florence, SC, as well as a host of beloved nieces, nephews, relatives, and close friends. Gerri was employed by DuPont for 30 years and stayed active in retirement for the past 25 years. Gerri was also a dedicated member of Manning Baptist Church where she served as a trustee, a member of the kitchen committee, Senior Citizens Ministry and the Veterans Ministry. In addition, Gerri was a faithful member of the DCT Latimer Alumni Association and was committed to being active in the community.
