Obituary of Mother Flora Mae Harlee

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mother Flora Mae Harlee. The family will receive friends at 1824 Mt.Calvary Road, Hamer, SC. Please remember the Harlee Family in your prayers as they are planning her Homegoing Celebration. Her obituary: Ms. Flora Mae Harlee, was the daughter of the late Flora (Harlee) Stackhouse. She was born on September 25, 1933 in Hamer, SC and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness. Ms. Harlee attended Dillon County Public Schools and graduated from Maple High School in 1951. In 1957, she moved to New York to work so she could help support her family financially. After years of living in New York, Ms. Flora decided to return home to care for mother. Upon her return, Hazy Grove Baptist Church became her church home. She leaves to cherish a loving son Melvin Lorenzo (Diane) Harlee and their children Jotique, Melvin (Yolanda), Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joshua, Robbie, Chris and Neal of Parkton, NC; Julia Elaine (deceased) and her children, Paul Edward (deceased) and Shelton Devon (Tanya) Harlee of Charlotte, NC; a special nephew, Dexter Gerard (Cassaundra) Harlee of Columbia, SC and their children, Konasha, Quinn (Rachel), and She’Neka (Bernardre); two special nieces Bessie Hester and Deborah Ann Harlee; eight great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
