Obituary of Mr.David Gooden

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. ~ 2 Timothy 4:7-8 ~ David Gooden was born November 17, 1949, to the late Adam and Clara S. Gooden. David answered the call of the master on January 16, 2022, at MUSC, Marion, SC. He attended Hamer Canaan School in Hamer, SC. At an early age he accepted Christ and became a member of Hazy Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a dedicated member until his health failed. He was known in the community as “Little David” and well loved by many. David was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Clara Gooden, three brothers Julius Gooden, John Gooden, and Willie Gooden, one brother-in-law David Buie and two sisters Sara Buie and Rosa Felder and one sister-in-law Mary Gooden. He leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers Adam Gooden of Boston, MA, and James (Dorothy) Gooden of Philadelphia, PA. Two special nephews Fred (Alice) Gooden of Dillon, SC, James Willie (Helen) Gooden of Hamer, SC; four special nieces Stephanie (Kevin) Jenkins, Magaline Felder, Betty Felder, and Linda Felder all of Hamer, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
