Obituary of Mr. General (Gent) Hayes

General (Gent) Hayes of Dillon, South Carolina departed his life on March 23, 2022. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina on January 21, 1939 to the late Rupert and Pauline Hayes. He was educated in Lake View, South Carolina. Gent was one of thirteen children. General was united in marriage to the late Jayhazel Hayes. To this union were born two children. Gent was preceded in death by one son, B.B. Hayes; three sisters, Virginia Carmichael, Virgiline Hayes and Tiny Mae Hayes; five brothers, Bobby Charles, G.W. Hayes, LeDell Hayes, Rufus Hayes and James Hayes. General leaves to mourn his memories: one son, Dywell Hayes; four sisters, Clara Hill, Beautrice Davis, Burddean Davis and Earnestine Hayes and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and a special friend, Francis Davis.
