Obituary of Ms. Doris McCall

Doris Jane McCall was born in Latta, SC on February 19, 1960 to the late Joseph and Alice Birch. She departed this early life on November 26, 2022. She graduated from Latta High School and was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Doris joined in holy matrimony to Perry M. McCall in her earlier years. She was employed at Dillon Yarn Manufacturer for over 25 years then later became employed at Honda of SC until 2009. She then became a homemaker for James Woods until her departure. She was also founder of the You Are Not Alone Foundation that she used to help people diagnosed with cancer with transportation, food, etc. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alice Birch; brothers, Joe Lane Birch and Larry Birch; sisters, Bonnie Sue Birch and Joanne Birch; grandson, Christian Jones and her special sister-in-law, Shirley McCall. She leaves to cherish fond memories of her daughters, Alicia R. Birch Amaya D. McCall of Latta, SC; son, Lorenzo D. Birch (Nickolette) of San Antonio, TX; brothers, Danny Ray (Vershelle) Birch, Frankie (Rosa) Birch of Florence, SC and Terry (Karen) Birch of Houston, TX; sisters, Brenda (Kenny) Green of Dillon, SC and Catina Adderton of Myrtle Beach, SC; several special friends, Harold Harriott of Elliot, SC, Hazel Stryker, Rachel Harley, Ann Gibson, Annie McCall and Devona Tyson and a host of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews and family.
