Obituary of Ms. Ella Ingram

“If God haven’t been there for me, I never would have made it.” Psalm 94:17 MSG Bible 23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23: 1-6 KJV Ella Lucille Ingram was born August 21, 1958 to Hattie Ella Ingram Johnson and Roy Johnson in Marlboro County, SC. She graduated from Clio High School in 1977 where she was a Cavalier Cheerleader. Ella was a fun-loving person who enjoyed making people laugh by being the “life of the party.” She always found her way to the dance floor when the music begins. You often saw her driving along the highway bobbing her head to music in her car. Ella was the glue that held her family together. Boldly declaring to her family “I am the BOSS!” Ella fought a courageous fight battling her illness. She refused to allow it to defeat her. Through illness, she maintained the victory. Ella’s last full day on this earth was filled with joy and laughter. She was surrounded by family and friends enjoying every moment, in her true fashion. She captured the hearts of her doctor and nurses as she proudly showed them videos and pictures of her beloved grandson, Ryeland Messiah Lytch, who preceded her in death. She led her family and friends in worship from her hospital bed singing her favorite song, “Never Would Have Made It” and “You Know My Name.” Ella answered the Lord’s call on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, NC. She professed her desire to “Go Home” repeatedly to her family. Ironically, she departed this life at 7:12 am, the numerical address to her earthly home. Ella is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Elizabeth Ingram Thomas; brother, Spencer Johnson; two sisters-in-law-Hazel Ingram and Clintonia Woods Ingram; and grandson, Ryeland M. Lytch. Ella leaves behind a very large and loving family that will surely miss her presence, sense of humor, and good cooking; her children: Kendell Ingram (Torecka), Leartis Ingram, Kasilyn Loyd, and Sabrina Campbell; companion- Calvin Campbell; special niece and nephew reared after her sister’s death: Tasha Thomas Smith (Noel) and Jermel Thomas (Ashley); grandchildren: Ja’Kierra Horne, RayQuan Townsend, Kingston Campbell, Jeremiah Ingram, Rasheed Purvis and Charlie Smith; brothers: Clenzo Ingram Sr. and Charles Ingram Sr.; special sisters/brothers –in-love- The Campbell Siblings; Nieces: Miranda Ingram, Octavia Thomas, Terrini Thomas, Karissa Smith, Emporess Hailey, Raelynn Ingram, and Taniyah Purnell; nephews: Charles Ingram, Jr., Clenzo Ingram, Jr., Tavoris Ingram, Sr., Ty`Quavis Ingram, Elijah Smith, Samaurie Thomas, JaVahari Thomas, Jermir Thomas, Kaison Breeden, Tavoris Ingram, Jr., and Jaquan Purnell; Aunts: Lois Ingram and Lena Mae Ingram; God-mother: Lula M.
