Obituary of Mr. Kowaski L. Pittman

Reverend Kowaski Lenardo Pittman of Winston Salem NC, departed this earthly realm on Monday February 6, 2023. He was born on January 13, 1963 in Dillon SC to the late Lizzie Pittman and Harold Lee Timmons. He attended Dillon County Schools. Kowaski worked hard most of his life, working at Dillon Yarn in earlier years, others years in culinary and he also worked many years in custodial care at Duke in Durham NC, until his health declined. Reverend Pittman is known by many as an anointed singer and minister of the gospel. He loved gospel music and participated in many singings/concerts throughout his life. He had a deep love for quartet music specifically and is known for participating in various music groups. He was a member/minister of Rise & Shine Ministries of Durham NC, where he loved to serve and preach the gospel when he had the opportunity. Above all Kowaski had a deep love and fondness for God and his family! He loved family gatherings; as well as spending his time dining and being in fellowship with family and friends. In his free time Kowaski loved to watch WWE wrestling, study his Bible, and he was very fond of the Dallas Cowboys football team. He was truly one of a kind, had a heart of gold, never met a stranger, and his presence will truly be missed. Kowaski is preceded in death by his parents Lizzie Pittman & Harold Lee Timmons, His brother David Pittman, His sister Tijerina Williams, and his son LaQuinton Pittman. Left to cherish his fondest memories are: his daughter Lakeshia Eason (Jeremy Staggers) of the home, his son Quinton T Jones, His grandchildren: Kiana and Jeremy Staggers II, Jhirmaine, Jhirmani, and Serenity Pittman Sisters & Brothers: Shay Jackson, Tequillia Pouncey, Georgene Dixon, Jackie Benjamin, Kristen Pittman, Freddy Timmons, Randy Timmons, Ernest Timmons, Leroy Timmons, Courtney Page, Brenda Styles, Valerie Fields, Darren Spears, & Alexander Tart. One brother in law: Gerald Williams. Godmother: Nettieware Genwright, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many friends. We the family of Kowaski Pittman would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for every act of kindness and the generosity that we received in our time of grief. A special thanks to the Medical Staff at Moses Cone Hospital of Greensboro NC who took great care of our loved one. A HUGE thanks to Georgene Dixon for ALL endeavors to make this day possible.
