James McLean, the son of Derrick McKellar and the late Janice McLean, was born on May 10,1997. He departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon , South Carolina. He attended Dillon County public schools. James was preceded in death by his mother, Janice McLean; brothers, Dearus McLean and Derrick McKellar Jr., and his grandfather, Joseph McKellar . James leaves to cherish his loving memories: Children, Zoey Manning, Khloe Wheeler, and Aleah McLean of Dillon, SC ; his father, Derrick McKellar Sr., of Dillon, SC; five sisters: Quentasia McKellar , Nikema McInnis , Carmella Brown all of Dillon, SC, Raven McKellar of Clio, SC and Corrian McKellar of Bennettsville, SC ; one brother: J’seria McKellar of Bennettsville ,SC ; grandparents: Martha (James) Manning of Dillon,SC , Le’Archie McLean of Maxton ,NC and Flora (Johnny) Grice of Dillon , SC ; great-grandmother: Roberta McLean of Maxton, NC ; four aunts: Martha McLean , Gail Odom , Towanda McKellar , Marquita McKellar all Dillon, SC , four uncles: Odarrell Brown of Macon, GA ,Tykee McKellar and Tyrea McKellar both of Dillon ,SC and Johnathan Grice of Latta, SC; god-mother: Tina Lloyd of Dillon ,SC ; special friends: Omar Odom and Janek Manning and a host of aunts , uncles , cousins , other relatives and friends.
