The Obituary: “Before Me There Was No Me, After Me There Will Be No More Me” Charles Ralph Woods, affectionately known as “Brewster” was born on April 4, 1967 to the late John and Lula Mae Woods in Latta, SC. He was the grandson of the late James and Annie Lee McInnis and Ralph and Mattie Mae Woods. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 8th at his home. Charles attended Latta High School. He was a dedicated member of Pine Hill AME church. Charles had a passion for cooking. He was the head cook at Charcoal Grill until it closed. He was well known for making “chicken bog.” He was a die-hard Cowboys fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and numerous friends. Charles leaves to cherish his memories to his wife Viola Woods of Dillon, SC, three sons and four daughters Marquis Townsend, Brandon Townsend, Chris McCall, Breonna Woods, Breasia Woods, Annitta Pernell, and Michelle Johnson all of Dillon, SC; six brothers and six sisters Michael McInnis, Helen McInnis, Jeffrey Woods of Dillon, SC; James Woods of Florence, SC; Jernare (Robert) Douglas of Greenville, SC; Sheila Woods, Tonya (James) Abraham, Jernene (Leonard) Alexander of Columbia, SC; John Woods, Anthony Cole, and Jessica Woods of Washington, DC; Joseph Woods of Orangeburg, SC; five grandchildren Caleb and Khloe Townsend, Jedyah Johns, Kymbryona McKinnon and Jeremiah Brown; six aunts Betty Porter, Katie Lee McBride, Carolyn (James) Bethea of Dillon, SC; Betsy Watson of Bennettsville, SC; Shalonda (Ron) Cooper of Florence, SC; Cattie Woods of Washington, DC; three uncles Johnny McInnis, Monroe McGirt and William Williams all of Latta, SC; A special friend Britney Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
