Obituary of Mr. William Junior McCall

We, the Prestige Funeral Home Staff, respectfully announce the passing of Mr. William Junior McCall of Little Rock, SC. The family will receive friends at 3341 Heustess Road, Little Rock, SC 29567. Please remember the McCall Family in your prayers as they prepare to celebrate the Life and Legacy of Mr. William Junior McCall. The Obituary: William Junior McCall, known by many as “Ground Pig” or “Ground” was born on December 18, 1962 at Bennettsville Hospital in Marlboro County. On April 22nd in the early morning, William went from mortality to immortality with a smile on his face. William attended and graduated from Dillon High School. At an early age, he joined New Holly United Methodist Church where he served on the Usher Board and was the choir director for years. He later joined Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gilbert Wilson. He quickly became a valuable member of the church as a trustee and he sang on several choirs. William enjoyed working. He worked numerous years at Harbor Freight as a supervisor and later worked diligently at Tractor Supply where he made many new friends. William had a special gift. He loved to decorate, work in the yard, meeting new people, singing in church and he loved to dress. He was preceded in death by his father, Theatmus McCall and his sister, Dorothy “Tiny” McCall. William leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Dorothy McCall of the home; two sisters, Jackie (Anthony) Woods of Clio, S.C. and Helen (Marvin) Leach of High Point, N.C.; his aunts, Helen McCall of Winston Salem, N.C., Ruth McDuffie of Dillon, S.C., Daisy McDuffie of Dillon, S.C., Sarah Bethea of High Point, N.C., and Gloria McDuffie of High Point, N.C.; three nieces, Tanisha McCall of Dillon, S.C.,Deyonee McCall of High Point, N.C. and Jazmin Woods of Florence, S.C.; one nephew, Dezeree McCall of High Point, N.C.; one great niece, Khlaia Greer; two great nephew, Kaycen Greer and Alton Taborn McCall; Willis Brown, who he loved like a son and special friends, who he spoke with daily, Maggie Manning, Janice Morrison, Ellendora Johnson, John Ellison, Tremaine McLeod, Anthony and Daryl Ridges, just to name a few.
