The Obituary: Cuba Lee Hargraves was born May 29,1955 in Dillon, SC to the late Ruby Inman-Mcleod and Makum McCollum,Sr. She departed this earthly life on Wednesday June 14, 2023 at Lexington Community Hospice House in Lexington, SC. Cuba received her education in Washington, DC Public Schools where she later started her career in Nursing. Cuba worked as a private nurse for 35 years until she retired. Cuba valued and loved her family. When it came to her family there was nothing that she wouldn’t do to express her love. She loved listening to music especially blues and being the life of the party. Cuba had no problem with giving you a piece of her mind along with sharing her words of wisdom and advice. She loved nature and watching the sunset everyday. Preceding her in death her parents: Ruby Inman-Mcleod, Stephen McLeod Sr., and Makum McCollum Sr, her brothers: Joe Fred , Gerald, James, Jesse, Makum Jr., Jule Curtis, Andrew, Ronnie, and Edward Charles; one sister: Martha; two sisters in law: Sallie Mae and Deborah; one brother in law: Willie C. Cuba leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter, Lashawn Turner of Washington,DC. Her grandchildren: Cornelius, Cornelia, Cornisha, Donyell, Donnell and Dequan all of Washington, DC. Her great grandchildren: Tajzay, Taylor, Zyion, Austin, Royal, Summer and Sevyn all of Washington,DC. Her siblings: William, Willie, Chuck (Cassandra), Randy (Melissa), Bobby (Linda), Reginald, Jeffery all of Dillon,SC. Alphonso (Carolyn) of Sellers,SC, Micheal (Tyrell) of Reidsville,NC, Anthony (Melissa) of Fayetteville,NC ,Jermaine (Talesha) of Latta,SC , Julius (Teresa), Lucius (Moneek), Stephen (Robin), Craig (Rossie), Dwayne all of Washington,DC; Bernard (Gwendolyn) of Stafford,VA; Norma (Frank) of Ewing,NJ; Loretta (Ernest) of Washington,DC; Kimberly (Mohammed) of Alexandria, VA; Sherida (Prince), Mae Nancy, Lottie, Mary (Milton), Angela, Sandra, Deborah (Ronald) and Felicia all of Dillon,SC; six sisters in law: Lethea, Gail, Gwendolyn, Rossie, Deborah and Robin, one aunt: Illee Inman; her best friend: Mae Washington; a special nephew/god son: Ricardo and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives she loved dearly.
